Innovator Tim Evans marks 30 years with AECI

Tim Evans, principal systems analyst, has been instrumental in advancing the mission of Associated Electric Cooperative, the wholesale power provider to 57 regional and local electric cooperatives in three states.

In his 30 years with the cooperative, Evans has been on the leading edge of technology changes. He’s developed software, applications and other tools that have improved Associated’s ability to provide affordable, reliable energy to members. For example, he was part of a team that created a program for energy management, as well as the cooperative’s first intranet to keep more than 700 co-workers across four locations up to date with important cooperative information.

Evans credits his time with Associated and the success of the cooperative to “capable leadership, investment in employees, preparedness through strategic planning and the ability to react quickly to unforeseen problems and opportunities.”
