Newsweek survey again names AECI among America’s most trustworthy companies
SPRINGFIELD, MO -- For the second year in a row, Associated Electric Cooperative was recognized as one of America’s most trustworthy companies, according to a recent survey ranking from Newsweek and market research partner Statista. Associated moved up to No. 2 in Newsweek’s Most Trustworthy Companies in America in 2024 in the Energy & Utilities category from the No. 5 spot in the 2023 ranking.
The third-annual survey reviewed a pool of 3,100 U.S. based companies, with just 700 voted for top honors across 23 industries. Notably, Associated was the highest-rated electric cooperative in the survey, followed by Basin Electric Power Cooperative (No. 9) and Arkansas Electric Cooperative (No. 16).
Newsweek’s rankings were determined by an independent survey sample of about 25,000 people comprising customers, employees and investors across the U.S. A total of 97,000 company evaluations were submitted that considered the points of view of potential customers, investors and employees.
Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is owned by and provides wholesale power to a system of six regional transmission cooperatives and their 51 local distribution cooperatives.
