Requirements
Associated offers paid professional internships for college students at the power plants and Headquarters. Each offers cooperative or college credit when available and some are eligible for housing assistance. Applicants must meet these requirements to be eligible for a position:
- Must be pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Associated cannot provide employment to applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future (i.e., H1B visa, OPT status).

Real-life learning
Annually Associated seeks students for summer, winter or year-long internship opportunities at Dell Power Plant in Dell, Arkansas; Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri; New Madrid Power Plant in Marston, Missouri, and Thomas Hill Energy Center in Clifton Hill, Missouri. In some cases, interns have the ability to apply for full-time work.
Some examples include accounting, risk management, legal, corporate communications, engineering, cybersecurity and programming, safety and health and more.
